Li-Chun Chang is a native of Taipei, Taiwan. Over the past twenty-five years, she has received critical acclaim internationally for her performances in lead and starring roles for the most distinguished modern dance companies with tours in America, Europe, Asia and Australia. She has studied at the National Institute of Arts in Taipei, as well as Graham and Limon techniques, ballet and Chinese theatre movement.

Until 1990 she danced with the Cloud Gate  Dance Theatre in Taipei and the City Contemporary Dance Company in Hong Kong. Then she moved to Los Angeles where she became a member the Bella Lewitzky Dance Company.
